I'm Cloves Almeida, a Principal AI Engineer at Boston Consulting Group, working on production AI systems for large enterprises.

I write short technical notes about the parts of applied AI that don't fit neatly into a model card: decision layers, constraints, evaluation harnesses, optimization, monitoring, and the messy interface between research and production.

My background spans software and AI engineering, with recent work in pricing, scheduling, allocation, and decision optimization. Competitive programming left me with a bias toward algorithms and data before vibes.

Current interests: neural networks, LLMs, reinforcement learning, and operations research.
